LIBRARY AND RULES

  1. The college library has a collection of approximately 5000 books on different subjects on the shelves. It subscribes 4 daily newspapers and 16 periodicals regularly. There is a well maintained reading room.
  2. Immediately after admission, a student is required to collect the Library-cum-Identity card on production of his/her fee receipt. He/she has to get it signed in person by his/her tutor, librarian and then finally by the Principal. The card should be kept carefully by the student.
  3. Ordinarily, two books are issued at a time for 15 days, but the librarian can recall the same at any time.
  4. If the books are not returned by the due date, a fine of Rs. 1/- per book per day will be charged for the overdue period.
  5. Reference books and periodicals/ journals/ magazines are not issued; however, the students can consult the same in the library.
  6. The student shall be responsible for the book as soon as it is issued. Books torn/ damaged/defaced in any manner will not be accepted. In case of loss of a book, the student will have to replace the book or pay fine in addition to the present price of the book with special permission of the Principal.
  7. Books are issued only on production of the Library-cum-Identity card.
  8. In case of loss of the Library-cum-Identity card, the duplicate can be had by making an application to the Principal, paying Rs. 20/- and on production of the copy of the FIR lodged with the police.
  9. If a student fails to claim refund of library security within one year of leaving the college, it shall automatically stand lapsed.
  10. In case of any damage to books issued to a student, he/she will have to entail a fine of Rs. 50.00 in addition to the actual cost of the book.

NLIST Facility

N-List Library Subscription

The Project entitled “National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content (N-LIST)”, being jointly executed by the e-ShodhSindhu Consortium, INFLIBNET Centre and the INDEST-AICTE Consortium, IIT Delhi provides for i) cross-subscription to e-resources subscribed by the two Consortia, i.e. subscription to INDEST-AICTE resources for universities and e-ShodhSindhu resources for technical institutions; and ii) access to selected e-resources to colleges. The N-LIST project provides access to e-resources to students, researchers and faculty from colleges and other beneficiary institutions through server(s) installed at the INFLIBNET Centre. The authorized users from colleges can now access e-resources and download articles required by them directly from the publisher’s website once they are duly authenticated as authorized users through servers deployed at the INFLIBNET Centre.

Students can read or download a large number of books, Journals by taking subscription of NLIST from the college.
